Screwdrivers And Nutrunners
The ARO / IR line includes quiet, convenient
DC electric models as well. When selecting a production screwdriver, it is important
to consider the type of joint you will be working with. Since joints vary according to the type of screw and fastening involved, you should always make sure of the type of screw and material you’ll be working with.
Next, you should take into account the amount of torque needed for your production requirements. Screwdriver type, length, and the type of steel it’s
made of all effect torque requirements.
Finally, production screwdrivers come with four different clutch options. Selection of the proper clutch depends on the type of joints, screws
used and torque required in production.

| Drills
Making sure you have the right tool for the right job is essential for effective drilling with consistent quality. Selecting a portable air drill involves considerations like the nature of the work piece, material to be penetrated and the size of the hole to be drilled. ARO / IR Drill Products

| ARO
/ IR Impact Wrenches
To
determine the ARO / IR Impact Wrench that’s best suited for your application, it is important to consider
the square drive of the wrench should be the same size or larger than the thread diameter of the fastener. ARO / IR Impact Wrenches are available in 3/8", 1/2", and 3/4" square drives.
Match the job’s torque requirements with the torque output of the wrench. The recommended torque ranges for each ARO / IR Impact Wrench and the torque requirements to tighten or loosen 3/8" to 3/4" bolts are shown in the selection guide.
Notice that it takes more torque to loosen a bolt than it does to tighten it, particularly if the bolt is rusted or galled. For longer, more reliable performance, the torque requirements should be within the recommended range of the tool — not the tool’s maximum torque.
To ensure maximum service life, the production class or durability
of the wrench should meet the demands of the intended applications.

| Workstations
ARO / IR Single Arm Workstations are the new standard of value for tool hanging devices. The unique construction of the ARO / IR workstations allows you to custom design a unit to meet your exact production requirements.
The torque reaction arm provides increased operator safety and comfort, while enabling greater tool maneuverability than competitive torque arms.
The handsome, superior look makes these workstations an attractive addition to any assembly environment.
Parallel Arm Workstations represent the best in tool support ARO / IR has to offer. Engineered for both ergonomic and production benefits, they offer unsurpassed operator comfort and safety, with increased productivity and quality consistency.
With the loss of main inlet air to the arm check valve prevents it from dropping suddenly to the valve surface causing possible injury or work spoilage.

| Random Orbital Sanders
The originator of random orbital finishing has just raised the standards of performance. ARO / IR has applied the latest in ergonomic design and advanced materials technology to refine its classic line of random orbital sanders … and to introduce a completely new range: the Elite Series.
The ARO / IR line of random orbital finishing tools is now the most comprehensive in the industry, providing a choice of traditional aluminum housings … or the ultimate in lightweight, composite packaging and efficient performance. Both the Classic Line and Elite Series incorporate new moisture resistant composite rotors, fully machined counterweights and larger counterweight bearings for superior reliability. Both continue the ARO / IR advantage of operating with totally dry air power for a cleaner work environment.

Grinders, Sanders, Polishers
The D-shaped
housing was designed to fit comfortably in the operator’s hand to help minimize the amount of gripping force required. The spoon-shaped throttle conforms to the tool housing to eliminate irritating pressure points in the palm of the hand.
To protect operator’s hands, the high-profile safety flange guards against accidental throttle actuation. Available in siphon-supply, stubby models, drum
based on innovative ergonomic advancements, ARO / IR’s Elite Series
grinders / sanders and polishers are smaller in size, easier
to hold, and more comfortable to use than competitive models.
ARO / IR developed the Elite line with patented full-flow steel motor
cylinders to provide maximum air utilization and generate more
torque. With few moving parts and extensive parts commonality,
costly downtime associated with routine maintenance is reduced
dramatically.
