Account Manager – Paint Finishing & Fluid Handling Group - Northeastern PA Territory

Job Title: Account Manager – Field Sales Specialist for our Finishing and Fluid Handling Products and Systems
Locations: Northeastern PA Territory
Reports to: Director of Sales 

Summary:
C.H. Reed, a leading independent industrial solutions and service provider in the mid-Atlantic region, is seeking Field Sales candidates to further develop our sales team for our Northeastern PA territory. Both entry level as well as experienced individuals will be considered for this opportunity. Account Managers work closely with existing accounts to develop trusting partnerships in providing solutions to their challenges. Accountability for developing new accounts and business are also expected based on territory and corporate initiatives.

Job Duties:
• Develop, maintain and grow business partnerships with identified key accounts and strategically identified target accounts.
• Introduce new products, services and ideas to these partners for mutual benefit.
• Coordinate and Utilize Application Specialist and Engineered Service Group to help penetrate and expand sales and services to key opportunities and accounts.
• Actively work with key vendor representatives to introduce new products and ideas to end user base as well as develop strong relationships with these key vendor representatives.

Shop Service Technician - Paint Finishing & Fluid Handling Group - Hanover, PA

SUMMARY:

Installs, tests, adjusts, performs preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of industrial paint finishing and fluid handling equipment sold by C. H. Reed, Inc.  Under the general direction of the Service Manager, and in consultation with management where appropriate, independent judgment is frequently required in coordinating projects, setting priorities and analyzing paint finishing & fluid handling equipment problems.  The scope of job responsibilities is diverse and complex.  The quality of decisions made contributes to the success of the company and to the positive image of C. H. Reed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair services to customer's spray, pumping and dispensing equipment.
  • Perform required service and repair work to finishing and dispensing equipment at C.H. Reed’s Hanover, PA shop location. (Example of equipment includes industrial paint spray guns, plural component metering equipment, industrial process pumps, sanitary pumps, powder coating equipment, and various other integrated finishing equipment.)
  • Complete continued educational training in spray, fluid flow and dispensing systems.
  • Comply with company policies, including ERP system procedures, business philosophy, safe work practices, and a commitment to unprecedented quality workmanship.
  • Complete all safety training and other company-wide training as required.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES, THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE:

Inside Sales - Technical Support Representative - Hanover, PA

SUMMARY OF PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Director of Aftermarket, address all customer inquiries received via telephone, fax, website contact form, electronically via email, etc. in a timely and professional fashion. Provide exceptional customer support during interactions while meeting their requests. Provide additional support to outside sales personnel and product group managers.  The scope of the job duties is moderate to complex and the quality of work contributes to the success of the company and to the positive image of C. H. Reed, Inc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Customer service, sales, and product support ‑ Sells products, provides technical information, specifications, and application of products, prices quotations recognizing competitive situations, obtains competitive vendor pricing, and delivery information to internal and external customers, as required.
  2.   Provide information and support to outside sales group.   Perform daily sales duties including preparation of quotes and managing customer inquiries.  Serve as a liaison between outside sales managers and customers.  Gather technical, pricing, and application information as requested and exceed customer expectations.  Communicate with outside sales representatives, direct supervision, inside sales team, sales management, and customers.  Must be effective, positive, and constant.  
  3.   Deliver customer support by providing pricing, availability, and point of shipment for orders. May prepare orders for Order Entry, following established company procedures.
  4. Work with inventory management team and product managers to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained, identify slow moving or obsolete products, and assist inventory promotion or reduction procedures.
  5. Assist with maintenance and proper pricing points for all accounts on a set review period.
  6. Assist with inventory counting as needed.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

CROSS TRAINED RESPONSIBILITIES DURING ABSENCES AND VACATIONS:

  • Will assist when required with inside sales activities.
  • Will aide in customer order entry as required.
  • Will respond to any and all requests with active participation and a positive attitude.

We are currently searching for a Compressed Air System Specialist for our Erie, Pennsylvania territory.  This sales development position will adhere to all aspects of the sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, while maintaining a solutions-based approach to meet and exceed customer’s compressed air goals and expectations.

Job Duties: Responsibilities and duties are, but not limited to:

  • Seek out new market insights and revenue-generating business opportunities through research and analysis.
  • Network, develop, and maintain business relationships throughout territory.
  • Understand and articulate current industrial trends (IoT, Data Collection, LEAN Mfg., Energy Reductions, etc.) to help educate customers.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers to meet goals with a solutions-based approach.
    • Make independent and joint sales calls in developing markets.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience:

  • Proven track record in meeting sales goals in a B2B environment.
  • Advanced understanding and application of air compressor systems.
  • Requires a working knowledge of computers, business related software (ERP System, CRM System) and familiar with a smart phone. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Requires participation in continuing training programs offered by equipment manufacturers and distributors.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including group presentations and telephone etiquette, along with persistence and determination to close a sale while maintaining positive customer relations.
  • Position requires organization, ability to handle multiple projects and priorities under sometimes stressful conditions.
  • Mechanical aptitude, and people skills including decision making, negotiation and listening.
  • Requires reasonable geographic knowledge of assigned territory and a valid driver’s license. (Exposure to adverse weather conditions while traveling.)

Summary:

C.H. Reed, a leading independent industrial solutions and service provider for compressed air and paint finishing systems in the mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced individual to fill the position of Service Administrator in our Hanover, PA facility. Service Admin works with the Service Manager to organize and execute the day-to-day activities of the Service Department.  They are responsible for efficiently and effectively coordinating service technicians to meet customer needs while adhering to all order management and operational requirements of the position. This person will serve as the liaison between C.H. Reed customers, C.H. Reed service technicians, and C.H. Reed staff.

Job Duties:

  • Receive incoming calls and inquiries for service appointments, equipment breakdowns, and planned maintenance services.
  • Schedule all field service activities for service technicians to maximize their operating efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain dispatch schedule.
  • Schedule and prioritize preventive maintenance activities monthly and process service requests.
  • Generate and follow up on service quotes to new and existing service customers.
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships by providing regular updates to service customers.
  • Ship and receive parts for planned maintenance orders and sales orders.
  • Processing of service paperwork, data entry, etc.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience – High school diploma or equivalent and 2 – 5 years of experience in a related field with dispatch or dispatch-related duties. Industrial or commercial service experience is a plus.
