Compressed Air Redundancy & Proactive Monitoring

Recently, C.H. Reed teamed up with an Italian-based electronics manufacturer on a compressed air project.  With a solid network of distribution here in the U.S. and a new business climate, they decided to open production at their Pennsylvania plant.  Their European facility consumes approximately 100 CFM.  With plans to increase U.S. production and add a nitrogen generation system (that will consume more air), we agreed on two Quincy QGDV30 tank mounted, variable speed compressors; each with a capacity of 141 CFM at 125 PSI. On top of the 2 compressors with mounted dryers, filters, and a condensate separator, we installed Quincy’s ICONS monitoring system.  Now, both the customer and our service department get SMS/E-mail alerts automatically if the air compressors fault for any reason, or if routine maintenance is due. With complete redundancy and proactive monitoring, they can focus on upcoming expansions and increased productions without stressing about costly air compressor inefficiencies.
