Important Message Regarding the Global Air Compressor Parts Shortage
SHARE THIS POST
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are amid a global supply chain shortage of air compressor parts. This means that the parts required to service our customer’s air compressors will continue to get backordered, delaying planned maintenance appointments and raising the cost of items. This issue is not going away anytime soon. In fact, it is only going to get worse before it gets better.
The bottom line is air compressors need to be serviced according to the manufacturer’s specifications for optimal reliability, efficiency, and longevity. This parts shortage is a severe issue as air compressors are the “workhorses” that keep manufacturers producing their products. Without compressed air, many industries would come to a screeching halt.
Here at C.H. Reed, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with timely service to keep production running smoothly. To help alleviate this ongoing parts crisis, we are taking proactive measures to increase our service parts inventory. We also highly recommend that our customers who are on planned/preventative maintenance agreements be proactive as well, and stock a full PM parts order ahead of their PM schedule. This approach helps make sure that you have the necessary parts on-hand for us to service your equipment, on time. If you have any questions about this global issue, please contact us. Together, we can minimize the impact this parts shortage has on our industries.
