Ransburg IntelliFlow RM2 & RF2

The IntelliFlow product family is Ransburg’s next generation of intuitive, accurate, and connected plural component proportioning solutions. The IntelliFlow line represents best-in-class 2K performance and connectivity that feature large, intuitive full-color touchscreens, seamless data communication and integration, dynamic mixing capabilities that reduce coating and solvent waste, and modular, scalable architecture. The Ransburg IntelliFlow system is available in two options, an entry-level proportioning system (RM2) and a more robust manual or automatic proportioning system (RF2). Below, we go over a few details of each system.

Ransburg IntelliFlow RM2

Ransburg IntelliFlow RM2

Ransburg IntelliFLow RM2 is the more entry-level 2k proportioning system that is easy to use but still has a wide range of process capabilities. It has a 10″ full-color touchscreen display that controls all process functionality. It’s extremely user-friendly with generally “3 presses” or less to complete all types of common day-to-day operations. The controls also feature built-in troubleshooting for faults and errors that help you stay up and running.

The RM2’s fluid panel is extremely reliable. It can handle most 2K handgun applications, up to 7 colors and 1 catalyst, 1:1 to 100:1 material ratios, hardener flow rates as low as 2cc/min, low-pressure capabilities, and offer available Coriolis flow meters for those challenging materials.

The Ransburg RM2 helps increase efficiency and reduce coating and solvent waste. On-demand metering and mixing with 1% ratio accuracies means significant reductions in material waste. Other ways the RM2 increases efficiencies are programmable automatic color changes and flushes, air-solvent chop that uses 65% less solvent than previous systems, and the ability to track and export data like paint and solvent usage, spray times, ratios and flowrates, alarms, and faults, just to name a few.

IntelliFlow RM2 Key Takeaways:

  • Entry-level manual spray
  • 2 handguns
  • 7 colors, 1 catalyst
  • 1K or 2K
  • Moving up from hot-potting
  • Touch-up or full production
  • Distributed product

Ransburg IntelliFlow RF2

Ransburg IntelliFlow RF2

Ransburg’s IntelliFlow RF2 is the more robust proportioning system that maximizes process savings. The RF2 is available in both automatic spray gun and manual spray gun process capabilities. Both the RF2 automatic and RF2 manual come with an intuitive 15″ full-color touchscreen display that controls all process functionality. It offers open communication via ethernet, profinet, device net, CC link, Wi-Fi, and more.

The RF2’s fluid panel meets all major process needs, including closed-loop ratio and flow control for almost all solvent or waterborne, electrostatic, or non-electrostatic coating, up to 100 colors and hardeners with programmable color changes, flushes, and recipes. It has low and high-pressure configurations, with wide ranges of viscosity and flow rates. Gear, coriolis, and piston flow meters are all available to meet your specific coating needs. Lastly, the RF2’s fluid panel has full 3K metering capabilities.

On-demand metering and mixing with the RF2 offers flow rates and ratio accuracies within 1%, meaning significant reductions in coatings and material waste. It’s also capable of remote monitoring and troubleshooting, reducing the risk of unexpected downtime.

RF2 Manual vs RF2 Automatic

As previously stated, the Ransburg IntelliFlow RF2 is available in manual spray gun or automatic spray gun applications. You’ll want to go with the RF2 automatic if you need flow control, are looking into upgrading to automatic guns or bells in the future, or have a wide range of flow rates or material ratios in the same unit. If you do not need flow control, wont be upgrading to automatic guns, or don’t have wide ranges of flow rates or ratios, then the RF2 manual is the right unit for you.

IntelliFlow RF2 Key Takeaways:

  • Flexible Manual or Automatic Spray
  • Handguns, reciprocators, or robots
  • Solenoids for up to 100 colors + catalysts + 3K
  • 1K or 2K or 3K
  • Up to 4 fluid panels
  • Seamless communication and integration
  • Fully customizable if a standard package doesn’t meet your needs
